Skimboarding: Health,lifestyle and culture

Running, jumping, spinning, launching; all good things, all encompassed within skim boarding. There is nothing better than being at the beach on a hot summer afternoon and skimming the day away. Not only is it fun, but also very rewarding. It’s a great way to stay in shape and in my opinion the most fun and free activity in the world. There’s no wave you have to catch, no lift ticket you have to buy, and no cop to tell you “this is a restricted area”, you just throw the board in front of you and ride. Skim boarding definitely has a certain lifestyle that goes along with it. Very free-spirited and emphatic; skimboardings’ only time restraint is the tide (if you’re at the beach) other than that you’re as free as the birds. The house is situated just feet from what my daughter Kayla refers to as Lake Ketchafishee.  Get it?  On the top level of the house is a Cupola room that has windows on all sides allowing a 360 degree view of the surrounding [...]
