Why must I be the example, people? I already told you all about how you should always have things checked out, right? Remember? So why couldn’t someone else have something going on, remember my post, and tell me about how they were inspired to go to the doctor? Huh?
Noooo, you had to let me be the guinea pig, right? *sigh* Losers. Take one for the team!!
I had a pain and it hurt real bad. It was on my right side, below my ribs and above my hip, and it was starting to get more severe. I joked with The Husband that it could be my appendix and had him look up which side the appendix was on. (He knew himself — probably most people do. I am not most people, which you will learn more about shortly.) So I joked with my mom about it, and she told me about [...]
I used to post practically everyday or at least every other day about pop culture stuff. Now I have to force myself to sit down and regurgitate about 10 days’ worth of TV tidbits and reviews and general gushing.
Here we go:
Chuck: Oh, how I missed Chuck. With the exception of some of the Lester/Jeff/Anna/Morgan stuff, which can get a little too annoying and over-the-top, there’s not a thing I don’t love about this show. This season started off with a bang — interesting premise, interesting wrench thrown into said premise, great action, great comedy, a little bit of romance and longing between Chuck and Sarah, great guest star in the form of one Michael Clarke Duncan, and plenty of Casey. What more could you ask for? Cannot wait to see more. And in case you haven’t heard it enough in recent posts, I absolutely adore Zachary Levi and want to [...]

When walking into the new we can no longer take the old. The old ways of being, of thinking and of doing.
I made the mistake of attempting to bridge that which must be cut from my life and cut from my body- When we walk into the new world we are not allowed to take anything with us from the old because we must arrive there a fresh being, new born with no attachments and no sense of ego or pride. We can no longer define ourselves through what we are doing or whom we are connected to. Our jobs, our schools, our families all must go throught the same renovation process that everything else is going through. Everything about reality is being ripped up by the core and recreated for the new world, the 5th dimension. I can no longer be what I was- I can no longer have [...]

If I want to go do something that I need to do or just want to do, I am at a point in my life where I will and I can. I do not need to here anyone giving me reasons why I should or should not do something. If I want to spend $50.00 on a pair of shoes that you may only spend $10.00 on, I will…cause I can. I work hard. I work smart. I work practical. If every once in awhile I want to treat myself, I will…SO THERE! So, worry about your own life and I will focus on my life. Thanks anyway!

Perhaps we all have gone home to spend less money, to watch the new fall line up or just try to cut back from the go go of the past 8 years. What I have noticed for the past few weeks is we are staying close to home, we are eating as a family at family meals, unheard of… at least at our house.
I have developed an urge to clean and sort and gain control back in my life. If I cannot control the economics around me than I can do something to control what is around me, which is clutter and odor.
With that urge to clean comes odors that I have not encounterd in a long time. I have cleaned closets with the need to get rid of the musty smell, kitchen cabinets to get rid of the smell of the wood that has always bothered me. The trash can, it [...]

I can store my money in the 5 other bedrooms
Most 19 year olds live in 12×19 foot dorm rooms with no air-con, share a bathroom with 30 other girls, live on microwaved hot pockets and the closest thing they’ll get to a waterfall is the frat boy peeing from the window on the floor above. But non Vanessa Hudgens, no siree! The High School Musical star and fake girlfriend of Zac Efron just spent $2.75 million on a six-bedroom, six-and-a-half bathroom, 5,200 sq ft house in Studio City, California.
The description of the house says it all really. “This is a spectacular old-world Tuscan, architectural manor with Moroccan influences and city light views. It has amazing custom stacked stone, saline Pebble-Tech pool/spa, waterfalls, cabana, BBQ island, hardwood and stone floors, the ultimate gourmet kitchen, Thermador appliances, windows, copper sinks, Arte de Mexico wrought iron and a wine cellar with glass [...]

Does everybody know what time it is?!
DISEASE-FAKING TIME!
Wait! Before you browse away in disgust, gimme a chance to explain.
It’s like this:
I think I’m losing my hair. Maybe. I don’t know. Some comes out when I shower. Not a whole lot, but enough for me to notice. I’m concerned. I’d like to talk about it with my doctor.
And that’s where it gets touchy.
My doctor is, how you say, bald.
Maybe it’s me, but I can’t ask my bald doctor to address my fear of potential baldingness. How insensitive and awkward would that be? The answer is VERY. It’d be like complaining to a person with tinnitus about how your ears are ringing after having attended a rock concert. Tactless.
So here’s my plan: I’m going to fake the symptoms of vitamin A toxicity.
I’ve been doing some research and according to my [...]

Guilty pleasure? Maybe not so guilty. Not sure.
I watched the original pretty religiously. Once I got started, that is. So when I heard that there would be a spin-off, I just HAD to watch it. I wasn’t expecting it to be any good. I was watching to see what “came” of the original characters, as they had been slated to be on the show.
Well…. it is a pretty awesome show. The new characters are completely different from the old. There are some parallels but they aren’t close enough to make it a repeat of the old. The old characters that are there, Brenda and Kelly so far, add the nice twist of having been there, done that at a different level/extent.
I think that the people who brought the show back (and how did it/was it able to switch from FOX to CW?) were very smart in bringing back the old [...]

i am actually doing quite good.
i am tired and i didn’t go to TKD tonight. i was kneeling too long on my knees today at work. i was kneeling on scaffolding to get that bit of height because i was too tall standing and too short sitting. now my knees are paying for it. i got home this evening and they were “clicking” every time i straighten my knee. that is not a good sign. i now know i have to sit on a crate when i am on the scaffolding to get the height when i need it.
mentally - i am doing ok, i think. i am tired, but i am still willing to fight this depression. sure, i still feel depressed and i am irritated easily, but i am learning new and better ways to deal with them. wow! things have changed in me a lot over the [...]
