pig-out
cofee after pig-out
Naimpatso ako /kami nung Wednesday night. Nagdinner kami with my chat friends kasi aalis na si Leah papuntang malayong lugar. Nag pig-out kami sa Gerry’s Grill. Dinner was sponsored by my good friend, Jorge. (good kasi nagbigay ng pangkain ).
Bale lima kami pero counted as 9 ).

On this Part II of the U.S. Senate (Michigan) Edition, I will talk about Jack Hoogendyke’s Political Courage Test results. If you did not check out the first part of this segment, I ask that you check out Part I, in order to learn about the Political Curage Test. Due to the fact that Jack Hoogendyke currently holds a seat in the Michigan House, I will first link to Mr. Hoogendyke’s Voting Record Page at Project Vote Smart, here.
Here is Jack’s results in the Political Courage Test;
Please NoteThe Political Courage Test asks candidates which items they will support if elected. It does not ask them to indicate which items they will oppose. Through extensive research of public polling data, we discovered that voters are more concerned with what candidates would support when elected to office, not what they oppose. If a candidate does not select a response to any part or all [...]

I left work yesterday as an Approved Social Worker (ASW) and by the time I go to work on Monday, I will be an Approved Mental Health Professional (AHMP).
I signed my last papers and completed the last assessment at precisely 5.18pm (yes, I checked!) on the 31st October.
Times are changing.
We have been told to await the delivery of the new papers on Monday, no, they hadn’t arrived by the time I left on Friday.
We have been sent letters by our Director authorising us to act as AMHPs and emails instructing us to go to the Town Hall to collect new warrants next week with slightly different wording. No more mention of Social Worker.
In the Trust I work in, they haven’t yet worked out how the local authority will pay AMHPs who are employed by the NHS so access to training remains exclusively within the bounds of Social Workers.
But others are [...]

Ready to go out
God, it feels good to be home! I was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday afternoon, having apparently passed the kidney stones (and also, apparently, averting the desire of one of the OBs to INDUCE LABOUR — he must be INSANE to think I could go through childbirth without first recovering from the kidney stones!) and spent the rest of the time in Vancouver running around to grocery stores and hospital appointments and cooking fiddly recipes full of cream and butter in which each ingredient must be weighed to within 0.2 grams. So this is the first time I’ve had a chance to get back to the blog, even though I originally fully intended to keep it up to date during the whole diet initiation phase. Yeah well, the Universe had other plans.
[Paranoia aside: I worry that those of you who don't actually know me in real [...]

This week was quite eventful…
I was at my workplace, looking forward for a great day at work when I got a call from my wife. She normally won’t call me in the morning, so I picked up the call without any hesitation. My dad had complained about breathing problem and was transferred to the IJN’s emergency centre. My dad had a heart by-pass surgery almost 3 years ago and has been doing well since then. Diet was strict and my dad makes sure he does not strain himself. So, I heard he is being rushed to emergency ward in an ambulance, I feared for the worst.
IJN is undergoing renovation – I missed the usual entrance and instead took another road towards the parking lot. The parking lot was full but I saw another sign pointing to a parking lot at the back of IJN. Parking at the new block [...]

Are you aware that you could cure heartburn naturally with a simple and effective reflux remedy that you can use at home every day? In fact, thousands of people are tossing their antacids that they have been addicted to for years. And how are they doing this?
They are learning the secret antacid companies do not want you to find out! And here it is… “If you heal your esophagus (tube that carries food to stomach) and sphincter (muscle flap above stomach), you can cure your reflux permanently. And you can do this all from home and with simple and natural remedies.
If you are tired of buying antacid after antacid and medication after medication? It may be time for a reflux remedy that works by curing the cause and not just the symptoms.
Don’t Cure the Symptoms of Heartburn
You may think antacids are helping. But [...]

So excited to be able to help out my friend Jason Salamun by singing at Project Church tomorrow night, 6:00 PM @ the Alternative Fuel Coffee House. I’d love to see a few familiar faces there, if you can make it!
I met Jason earlier this year through our blogs and have had a few meals with him since. I love the guy’s passion and heart. Project Church was planted downtown last month and is reaching out to a group of people that many traditional churches don’t generally reach. I love it! Here’s a video highlighting their current message series. Tomorrow night’s message will address the question, “Why does God allow suffering?”

We sold our house! 21 days on the market and we sold it!!! WOW!
Now we just have to figure out our next steps. Please be praying everything goes smoothly between now and closing (which is still 6 weeks away). We need to find jobs, move, and figure out exactly what God has for us. I’m so excited and looking forward to this next stage.
Maybe the next stage will have a better view
